EVANSTON, Ill. -- Former Northwestern defensive end Gladston Taylor earned a role in the new Disney movie Invincible, portraying Dallas Cowboys pro-bowl defensive end Ed "Too Tall" Jones.

Invincible stars Mark Wahlberg as former Philadelphia Eagle Vince Papale, whose NFL career lasted three seasons after he earned a roster spot through an open tryout.

The 6-foot-5 Taylor was an environmental sciences major at Northwestern, playing in 13 games from 1996-98 with the Wildcats. The movie opens today, Friday, Aug. 25, in theaters nationwide.
