EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga./Brookwood) competed in three individual events this weekend at the ConocoPhillips National Championships in Irvine, Calif., turning in a career-best performance with a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter freestyle event.
Hupman swam a lifetime-best 55.27 in the 100-meter race during the prelims before producing a 55.66 in the finals to come in sixth.
She also competed in the 50 free and 100 free events at the meet, earning a second swim in both. Hupman participated in the bonus final of the 50 where she finished 23rd before swimming the consolation final of the 100 where she came in 14th.
