EVANSTON, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced its Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the 2006 spring season, and a total of 40 Northwestern athletes were included from the school's six spring sports (baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis) as well as two sports that fall under the Big Ten's at-large category (women's fencing, women's lacrosse).

To earn Academic All-Big Ten, you must letter in your sport and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better while in at least your second year of attendance at the school.
