EVANSTON, Ill. - Junior Aly Josephs (Reistertown, Md./Franklin) scored a game-high six goals in the 21-12 win over No. 14 Notre Dame Sunday, earning her American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week Honors. The honor is the first of her career and the second for the Wildcats this season.
Josephs scored the first two goals after halftime and keyed a 13-1 NU run to help the Wildcats go from four down in the first period to eight-up in the second half as NU extended its winning streak to 27 games dating to the start of the 2005 season.
Josephs is second on the team with 18 goals, ranking her fourth in the ALC, to go along with two assists for 20 points.
Northwestern is back on the road this week at 3 p.m. CT Thursday, March 23 at California-Berkeley before heading to take on No.20 Stanford at 5:30 p.m. CT Saturday, March 25 in Palo Alto, Calif.
