TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- With one round to play at the Seminole Intercollegiate, Northwestern's 12th-ranked men's golf team is tied for eighth place with Virginia in 13-team field.

After getting strong performances from Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) and David Merkow (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) on Sunday, Monday's top two efforts came from another pair of players -- junior Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) and senior Dillon Dougherty (Woodland, Calif./Woodland).

Wilson fired a career-best 4-under 68, to move into 11th place overall. He is now 1-under (75-68=143) for the tournament. Dougherty carded an even-par 72, his best round to date this spring. He is 41st overall with a 5-over 149 (77-72).

Moore, who began the day in second place, dropped back to 31st after shooting a 6-over 78 on Monday. He is now 3-over (69-78=147) for the tourney.

Merkow is tied with Dougherty for 41st place. Merkow, who ran into some tough luck on his final holes Monday, is 5-over (72-77=149).

Sophomore Dan Doyle (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek) is 7-over (74-77=151) and in 50th place.

East Tennessee State turned in the best team round for a second consecutive day and leads the Seminole by five strokes over Coastal Carolina. Coastal Carolina's Dustin Johnson continues to lead the individual race, holding a two-stroke lead over North Carolina's Martin Ureta.

The third and final round is set for Tuesday.
