COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Rain is delaying Saturday's action at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Currently, the 9 a.m. CT scheduled games will not go off as scheduled, and with rain in the forecast for nearly the entire day, there are sure to be other schedule modifications.
8:30 a.m. CT UPDATE: The final two rounds of pool play have been postponed, and the NFCA still is looking into the possibility of playing those games Saturday. A decision is expected in the early afternoon.
The forecast for Sunday has greatly improved, leaving the NFCA confident that more games of the tournament will be played even if Saturday's games are canceled.
11:50 a.m. CT UPDATE: Saturday's games now have been canceled at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. With a much improved forecast for Sunday, it is expected Northwestern will get two games in tomorrow.
4:30 p.m. CT UPDATE: After the cancelation of all Saturday games, the NFCA has come up with two options for makeup competition Sunday. Those options are a one- or two-game schedule to be decided at 6 a.m. CT Sunday morning depending on field conditions.

6:00 a.m. CT UPDATE: The rain has passed through Columbus, Ga., but the field conditions are too soaked to play on Sunday, canceling the remainder of the NFCA Leadoff Classic.
