• The loss to Penn State snapped a five-game win streak by Northwestern.

• With 21 points, Vedran Vukusic hit the 20-point plateau for the 10th time this season. He played the entire 40 minutes for the fourth time this year.

• Vukusic also moved up another spot on NU's all-time scoring list to ninth with 1,358 points, surpassing Rod Roberson (1977-81) who is now 10th with 1,347 points.

• Mohamed Hachad saw his first action for the Wildcats since undergoing an appendectomy Dec. 28. He recorded nine points and five boards while playing 22 minutes in his return.

• Freshman Craig Moore tallied six assists in a game for the third time this season. He also connected on three three-pointers and now has 17 treys in his last five games, an average of 3.4 per game.

• Tim Doyle tied a career-high with three steals.

• Penn State outrebounded Northwestern 36-25 and outscored NU 14-6 on second chance points.
