EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's Mark Philmore (Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) and Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) have been named Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Philmore, a senior wideout, caught nine passes for a career-high 139 yards in Northwestern's 33-17 loss to Michigan Saturday night. The Ohio native caught touchdown passes of 62 and 34 yards. It was the first time in Philmore's career he had multiple touchdowns in a game, and his 62-yard TD catch is the second longest throwing touchdown of the season for the Wildcats. Philmore's 34-yard touchdown catch came with only 11 seconds remaining in the first half as he fought off the Michigan defender for the grab.

Prousis earned the honors after she went 2-for 2 last week at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. A day after Prousis and teammate Cristelle Grier (Epsom, England/Putney) won the doubles title, Prousis battled Grier in the singles final round. Prousis won the match in straight sets, becoming the second Wildcat in two years to take the doubles and singles crown. With her performance, Prousis qualified for the ITA National Indoor Championships, Nov. 3-4.
