Wildcats Wrap Up First Day at 2005 Ralph Lauren All-American Invitational

Tulsa, Okla. -- Northwestern's Willy Lock (Lima, Peru/Markham College) and Christian Tempke (Wentorf, Germany/Gymnasium Lohbrügge) both dropped their opening-round singles matches on the first day of qualifying at the 2005 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships.

Lock played first, going up against LSU's Danny Bryan. Lock took Bryan the distance in the first game, but eventually dropped it 7-6. Bryan then took the second game to win the match, 7-6 (4), 6-4.

Tempke took on Will Gray of Tulsa. Tempke split the first two games with Gray, but wasn't able to hold on. Gray took the match, 6-7, 6-4, 6-0.

Lock and Tempke will compete in doubles action Tuesday against Vlad Obradovic and Ryan Sherry of Florida.
