EVANSTON, Ill. -- Misha Rosenthal (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) and Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) were named the Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.
Rosenthal, a true freshman, recorded six saves and his second career shutout to help the Wildcats top Northern Illinois in their first game of the NIU Adidas/Baymont Inn Invitational. Rosenthal followed up Friday's performance by keeping IUPUI scoreless until the 86th minute, meaning he did not allow a goal for over 176 minutes. His efforts helped the Wildcats go 2-0 this weekend.
In her first college event, Hong, along with Kent State's Becky Wood, finished in a first-place tie among a field of 81 golfers. In the sudden-death playoff, however, Wood made par on the first playoff hole to defeat Hong. She shot a 4-over 220 for the three rounds, including a 2-under 70 for the first 18 holes. Her finish helped the Wildcats place third among 15 teams.
