Brett Basanez, Barry Cofield and Tim McGarigle to Represent NU at Big Ten Football Media Day

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern football will be represented by a trio of seniors this Aug. 1-2 at the Big Ten Football Media Day and Kickoff Luncheon: quarterback Brett Basanez (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator), defensive tackle Barry Cofield (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and linebacker Tim McGarigle (Chicago, Ill./Saint Patrick).

The annual event, which also features all 11 head coaches, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, beginning at 10 a.m. A player and coach autograph and photo session will precede the luncheon. The luncheon is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. with ABC Sports' Gary Danielson serving as the master of ceremonies
