EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Audra Cohen (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) and junior Cristelle Grier (Epsom, England/Putney) have been selected to compete in the singles and doubles competition of the 2005 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships.
Sophomore Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) earned a spot on the alternate list.
The Championships will be conducted May 23-28 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia, following the conclusion of the team championship (May 19-22). The University of Georgia will serve as host
Cohen and Grier will be seeded second out of the 32 teams set to compete in the doubles portion.
Individually, Cohen and Grier each earned automatic bids out of the Midwest Region. Cohen is seeded third in the 64-player singles draw.
