MADISON, Wis. - Led by Chris Wilson's (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) 2-under 70, Northwestern sits in seventh place after the first round of the Big Ten Championships, held Friday at Wisconsin's University Ridge Golf Course. Wilson's red-hot round has him tied for sixth place, individually.
Kyle Moore (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto) also rests in the top-25 individually after firing an even 72 on day one of the championships. The freshman is tied for 13th.
Sophomore David Merkow's (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) 3-over 75 has him tied for 32nd place overall, while freshman Dan Doyle (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek) shot a 5-over 77 and is tied for 43rd.
Senior Dillon Dougherty (Woodland, Calif./Woodland) shot a 6-over 78 and is tied for 47th place.
