EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's scheduled Saturday doubleheader against Ohio State has been canceled due to cold conditions. The games will not be made up.
While forecasts of 6-to-8 inches of snow forced Big Ten wipeouts at Michigan and Michigan State, the cold temperatures and wind in Evanston were enough to cause concern for player safety.
Wisconsin at Purdue and Minnesota at Indiana are the only two Conference games being played today.
Northwestern will return to action -- conditions permitting -- at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, April 24, against Penn State.
