Northwestern Set to Host Coaches' Clinic on Saturday

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern is hosting its annual spring coaches' clinic this Saturday, April 9 in Trienens Hall (NU's indoor practice facility) and on NU's outdoor practice fields. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the clinic starting at 9 a.m.

Cost of the event is $10 per coach, if you have pre-registered. Coaches can register by calling (847) 491-7274 or emailing the football office at nufootball@northwestern.edu. Cost to register the day of the event (April 9) is $20.

Northwestern's staff and team will share detailed teaching progression and drill work. Guest coaches also will be provided on-field access to view Northwestern's inter-squad scrimmage. Following the scrimmage, guest coaches can take part in social and buzz sessions with the NU staff.

Practice Six Notes: Brandon Roberson (Pearland, Texas/Pearland), Reggie McPherson (San Leandro, Calif./San Leandro) and Barry Cofield (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) were among the players turning in winning performances in the board drill...The defense recorded back-to-back interceptions, as cornerback Cory Dious (Atlanta, Ga./Mays) and linebacker Campbell Black (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness) both deflected and recovered passes...Spring practice resumes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
