PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Sophomore Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) continues to lead Northwestern at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, which is being held at the Sawgrass Country Club. The third and final round is set for Tuesday.
Wilson fired a 5-over 77 on Monday, and is now 5-over (72-77=149) for the tournament. Augusta State's Major Manning leads the tournament with a 2-under 142.
Freshman Dan Doyle (Rochester, Mich./Stoney Creek) and sophomore David Merkow (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) are tied for 68th place with 13-over 157's. Doyle has rounds of 75 and 82, while Merkow has 18-hole scores of 78 and 79.
Northwestern juniors Bryson Young (Reno, Nev./Galena) and Dillon Dougherty (Woodland, Calif./Woodland) are 86th and 87th, respectively.
