EVANSTON, Ill. -- Sophomore Alexis Prousis (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) of women's tennis and senior Evan Blesoff (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) of baseball have been named Northwestern's Hilton Garden Inn Athletes of the Week.

Prousis upset 33rd-ranked Megan Moulton-Levy of William & Mary Friday, in Northwestern's 5-2 win over the Tribe. Prousis came back from a 5-0 deficit in the first set to win 7-5. She then dropped the second set but sealed the upset with a 10-8 win in a third-set tiebreaker.

Prousis also recorded two doubles wins alongside partner Kristi Roemer (Piedmont, Calif. Piedmont) and a straight-set singles victory in Northwestern's 5-2 win over Wisconsin.

Starting just the third game of his career, Blesoff worked five complete innings to pick up the win in Northwestern's season opener against Kansas State, 4-2. The senior right-hander pitched in constant wind and driving rain, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out two. He faced 20 batters, throwing 75 pitches (50 for strikes).
