EVANSTON, Ill. - For the first time this year, freshman Audra Cohen (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) and junior Cristelle Grier (Epsom, England/Putney) will not be competing in the championship match of singles competition after being knocked out of the draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships.
No matter. The duo will still get a shot at a title in the doubles draw after advancing to the final round with a win over Daniela Bercek and Riza Zalameda of UCLA, 9-8.
Cohen and Grier will square off against Alice Barnes and Erin Burdette of Stanford in the finals Sunday, Nov. 7.
