EVANSTON, Ill. - While the entire world is watching the Olympic Games these next few weeks, NU swimmer Mike Alexandrov (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) is looking forward to actually being a part of it.
Alexandrov -- who will be a sophomore for the Wildcats this season -- is participating in the Games as a member of Bulgaria's national team. He is slated to swim three events in Athens, all during the first week: the 200 freestyle, the 200 breaststroke, and the 200 IM.
Here is the schedule for those events.
200 Freestyle
Heats - Sunday morning, 8/15
Semis - Sunday night, 8/15
Final - Monday night, 8/16
200 Breaststroke
Heats - Tuesday morning, 8/17
Semis - Tuesday night, 8/17
Final - Wednesday night, 8/18
200 IM
Heats - Wednesday morning, 8/18
Semis - Wednesday night, 8/18
Final - Thursday night, 8/19
