EVANSTON, Ill. -- In an effort to better serve our fans, the Northwestern Athletic Department now opens Welsh-Ryan Arena 90 minutes prior to all men's basketball home games. This Saturday's game versus Wisconsin will tip off at 1:30 p.m. with doors opening at noon.Tickets are still available through NUsports.com or by calling the ticket office at 847-491-CATS.
CTA, Metra, and Pace all provide service to Welsh Ryan Arena. The CTA Purple Line from downtown Chicago stops at Central Street where you may connect to the #201 CTA bus that stops a block from the arena or walk three blocks west on Central Street to the stadium. The Metra Union Pacific North Line from downtown Chicago and Kenosha, WI stops at Central Street where you may also connect to the #201 CTA bus that stops a block from the arena or walk three blocks east on Central to the stadium. Pace route #213 runs along Green Bay Road and connects with five other Pace routes, and also stops at Central Street. The Northwestern Athletic Department continues to urge fans to arrive as early as possible to all games to help avoid long lines entering our parking lots and at our lobby ticket windows. We pledge to continue evaluating our challenges in these areas, and will do our best to address the situations to the best of our ability.
