EVANSTON, Ill. - The University of New Mexico and Td Promotions, Inc., have announced a revised schedule for the participating teams in the 2004 Ultimate Dugout Baseball Fiesta, which takes place Feb. 20-22 in Albuquerque, N.M. The University of New Mexico is the host institution.
The change comes about because each of the three teams (Kent State, Nebraska and Northwestern) traveling from out of town all leave during the 4:00 hour on Sunday Feb. 22. The order of opponents, game times and locations were revised to accommodate travel plans.
NU and 20th-ranked Nebraska get the tournament started and are set to throw the first pitch Friday, Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. Northwestern will be the visiting team.
The Wildcats look to rebound after an 0-3 effort a year ago at the same tournament. NU lost to New Mexico (6-5), New Mexico State (8-6) and Texas-Arlington (14-7) in 2003.
