EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior Tom Johnson (Sacramento, Calif./Del Campo) is one of 29 men's college golfers from 25 universities to accept an invitation to the 29th Annual Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic, set for Nov. 23-25 at the El Paso Country Club.
The tournament, hosted by the Sun Bowl Association, is played at the par-71, 6,781-yard El Paso Country Club.
Johnson, in his fourth year with the Wildcats, is second on Northwestern's career stroke average list (72.55) behind current PGA professional Luke Donald. Johnson is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational. He was an honorable mention All-America selection as a junior.
Johnson is the first Northwestern golfer to compete in this event since Jim Benepe did in 1985.
