NU Has 50 Athletes Named Academic All-Big Ten

May 28, 2003

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Big Ten announced its Academic All-Big Ten teams for the spring and at-large sports Wednesday morning, and a total of 49 Northwestern athletes were honored. Two sports fall under the Big Ten's at-large category, meaning the conference does not sponsor a championship in the sport -- women's fencing and women's lacrosse.
