EVANSTON, Ill. -

Scott Harrington (Portland, Ore./Jesuit) of the men's golf team and Carri Leto (El Cajon, Calif./Valhalla) of the softball team earned Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week honors. The two picked up the honor for their athletic performance from the week of Feb. 10-16.

Harrington sank an 8-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win his first college tournament and help the nationally ranked Wildcats claim their second tourney crown of the year. Harrington, who carried a two-stroke lead into the final round, birdied the par-4 17 to remain two strokes in front of Missouri's Chris Happ, his final-round playing partner. Happ, however, eagled the par-5 18 to tie Harrington. Harrington came back to drain the birdie putt for the win. Harrington is now ranked 30th nationally in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin index rankings.

Leto posted a .600 batting average as the Northwestern softball team won two of three games at the Pepsi Arizona Classic in Tucson, Ariz. last weekend. The second baseman went six-for-10 in the tournament, with two triples and three RBI. She notched two hits in each of the the Wildcats' three games to raise her season batting average to .423. In an 8-0 win against Arkansas, Leto's two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning ended the game due to the mercy rule. She also has been flawless in the field this season, as she is yet to commit an error in 25 chances.
