Today's Game
Northwestern enters today's game coming off a hard-fought 67-56 loss to then-No. 15 Minnesota. The Gophers, who were ranked second nationally in points per game at 84.2, were held to just 67 points. Those 67 points tied a season low for the U-of-M, as Northwestern's defense also held Minnesota to 5-of-20 (25 percent) from three-point range.

Speaking of three-pointers, NU's deep threat became a larger weapon over the last week as the Wildcats knocked down 15-of-36 attempts in two games. Junior forward Michelle Zylstra and sophomore guard Melissa Culver hit eight of their 14 shots from behind the arc.

At Minnesota, NU made eight three-pointers, tying its previous season high, set against Michigan State back on Jan. 2.

NU looks to keep shooting well as the Wildcats travel to No. 10/9 Purdue, who beat Northwestern back on Jan. 26, 76-60.

Purdue's All-America candidate Shereka Wright, who did not play in the first meeting between the two teams because of a fractured left hand, will play and currently ranks third in the conference with 19.0 PPG.
