Jan. 10, 2003

EVANSTON, Ill. - Nearly two months after taking on Wisconsin at the Norris Aquatics Center, the Northwestern men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to dual meet action this weekend. The Wildcats will travel to East Lansing, Mich. for a 6 p.m. Friday dual with Michigan State. NU will then trek to Ypsilanti, Mich. for a noon Saturday affair with Eastern Michigan.

The Northwestern men bring a 2-4 dual meet record into action Friday night, while the women enter with a 3-3 mark.

The women are coming off a holiday training trip to southern Florida. NU's last competition was Dec. 18 when it competed in the Key Relay Invitational in Key West, Fla. The Wildcats finished second out of four teams at the meet, trailing only 20th-ranked Florida State.

The Wildcat men took their first overseas training trip when they traveled to Argentina over semester break. Northwestern got the opportunity to compete against the Argentina National Team during its time abroad.

NU's men's team will return home to host a dual meet with Illinois-Chicago at 6 p.m. on Jan. 17. Meanwhile, the Wildcat women will host Tennessee the following day at 10 a.m.
