EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern lost to Wisconsin-Milwaukee (3-1-1), 3-0, Wednesday at Lakeside Field. The Wildcats (3-4-0) had some early scoring opportunities, but the Panthers held on for the shutout.

NU started strong off the opening kickoff, as Tito Lara (Joliet, Ill./Joliet) broke through the Panthers' defense. Lara cut through the middle for an open look but his shot was deflected into the hands of goalkeeper Chris Dadaian.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee got on the board early in the first half. Antou Jallow netted his fourth goal of the season off of a free kick just outside the goal box.

"I thought we played pretty well in the first half," said NU Head Coach Tim Lenahan. "They got one early with a free kick. In the second half, they (Wisconsin-Milwaukee) stepped it up and we didn't respond."

Julian Chang and B.J. Blake added a goal each in the second half.

"We look forward to the rest of the week," Lenahan said. "Now we'll get a chance to see how we respond."

Northwestern is back in action Sept. 25 when Northern Illinois makes the trip to Lakeside Field.
