Petrutiu set the tone early in this match-breaking serve at love to take the first game. After falling behind 0-30 in the fourth game, Petrutiu was able to survive one break point, the only one she would face in the match. Petrutiu used a mix of power and finesse to win the first eight games of the match Liwanpo got on the board in the third game of the second set by holding serve. Petrutiu broke serve in the thirteenth game to close out the match.

Malesevic won the first game of this match, but Yung came back to win four straight games and take control. Malesevic held serve to make the score 4-2, but Young held serve back and then broke Malesevic to win the first set.
