Northwestern got off to a quick start, breaking serve in the first game. The Wildcats then took control of the match, going on to win the next seven games to shutout the Flames. Jessica Rush served out the match for Northwestern. The match finished in brisk 30 minutes.

Northwestern opened the matching by breaking serve. The Wildcats would win the first four games before UIC held serve in the fifth game to take the match to 4-1. Northwestern countered by winning the next four games, breaking serve to close out the match.

Barnes broke Malesevic's serve to begin the match. Melesevic was able to hold serve at love in the third game to bring the match to 2-1. However she would get no closer as Barnes one the next four games to take the first set. Barnes carried that momentum into the second set winning the next six games, and breaking serve to secure the match.
No. 4 Simona Petrutiu (NU) def. Karen Liwanpo (UIC), 6-0, 6-1
Petrutiu set the tone early in this match-breaking serve at love to take the first game. After falling behind 0-30 in the fourth game, Petrutiu was able to survive one break point, the only one she would face in the match. Petrutiu used a mix of power and finesse to win the first eight games of the match Liwanpo got on the board in the third game of the second set by holding serve. Petrutiu broke serve in the thirteenth game to close out the match.
No. 5 Andrea Yung (NU) def. Zvjezdana Malesevic (UIC), 6-2, 6-2
Malesevic won the first game of this match, but Yung came back to win four straight games and take control. Malesevic held serve to make the score 4-2, but Young held serve back and then broke Malesevic to win the first set. Yung then broke serve three more times in the second set, winning five of the first six games to close out the match.
