EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Head Football Coach Randy Walker will showcase his singing talents to the nation this Sunday, April 28.
Before the Chicago Cubs come to bat in the bottom of the seventh inning, Walker will lead the Wrigley Field crowd in the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," a tradition that became legendary when Harry Caray manned the radio/TV booth for WGN. Since Caray's passing, WGN has used celebrity guests to help lead one of baseball's most familiar tunes.
The Cubs are playing the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:20 p.m. (CT). WGN-TV is televising the game.
