BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Several swimmers competed in the Last Chance Meet in Bloomington, Ind. over the weekend to improve their chances of qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Erin Swenson (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) shaved .25 seconds off her 200 IM time with an NCAA "B" standard time time trial finish of 2:02.23. Stephanie Cranston (St. Louis, Mo./Mary Institute CD) took .12 seconds off her best 400 IM time with an NCAA "B" time of 4:20.47. Swimmers will find our later this week if their times are fast enough to send them to the NCAAs. Rachel Johnson (Champaign, Ill./Centennial), Carmen Cosgrove (Perth, Western Australia/Nebraska) and Merritt Adams (Norcross, Ga./The Lovett School) are the only NU swimmers who have automatically qualified for the championships.
