Women's Swimming and Diving In Sixth After Two Events at the Big Ten Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - After two events, the women's swimming and diving team is tied for sixth-place with Minnesota at the Big Ten Championships with 54 points. Wisconsin leads the pack with 68 points.

In the first event, the 'Cats placed fifth in the 800 free relay with a NCAA B time of 7:20.61. NU's relay squad consisted of Erin Swenson, Vicky West, Merritt Adams and Katie Simmons.

In the second and final event of the night, NU touched in sixth place in the 200 medley relay. Its time of 1:42.93 was also a NCAA B time. The squad featured Susie Sample, Simmons, Carmen Cosgrove and Lauren Moore.

The championships continue on through Saturday with prelims in the morning and finals in the evening. All race results are posted on mgoblue.com soon after completion.
