EVANSTON, Ill. - Making their fourth appearance, the 17th-ranked Wildcats will meet No. 4 Vanderbilt in the first round of the United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Championships in Madison, Wis. The tournament will run this week, beginning Thursday, Feb. 7, and continuing through Sunday, Feb. 10.
The tournament is the nation's premier indoor event and usually serves as a preview to the May NCAA Championships. This year's event will feature 14 teams ranked in the top 20 and two in the top 40 of the latest ITA national rankings.
Junior Marine Piriou, currently ranked ninth in the nation, is one of 15 top 25 nationally ranked players competing in the event.
The Wildcats are currently 3-1 with wins over DePaul, BYU and Utah. Last year, the Wildcats upended then-No. 8 UCLA in the first round, 7-0. The 'Cats fell to then-No. 12 team in the second round before knocking off then-No. 9 USC.

There will be consolation matches for the first-round losers on Friday and Saturday.
