Houston Takes Down La Salle, 65-49, In Game 2 of Roger L. White Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. - The University of Houston defeated La Salle, 65-49, in Game 2 of the Roger L. White Invitational. The tournament is being held at Northwestern University's Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill.

Chandi Jones led the Cougars with 24 points and 12 rebounds while Valerie Muoneke chipped in 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

La Salle's scoring leaders were Suzanne Kielty and Bonnie Randa. Kielty had 13 points and Randa scored 12. The Explorers were led in rebounding by Kat Foley, who pulled down 11 caroms.

Houston and Northwestern will play tomorrow night (Dec. 1) at 8 p.m. to decide the 2001 Roger L. White Invitational champion.

La Salle and Hofstra will tip off at 6 p.m. in the consolation round.
