ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Northwestern men's soccer team was shut out 1-0 at Michigan Sunday, losing their second Big Ten match in as many games.


The lone goal was scored by Michigan's Jody Keeling off Wildcat keeper Ryan Pederson (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) in the 72nd minute.


Northwestern managed to take 11 shots on goalkeeper Joe Zawacki, but the redshirt freshman keeper made five saves, including one at point-blank range by NU's David DeHorn (Troy, Mich./Troy). Pederson made seven saves from Michigan's 18 shots.


Michigan accumulated 24 fouls and two yellow cards. Northwestern was called for 11 fouls and DeHorn was given a yellow card for tripping.


The Wildacts host Illinois-Chicago Sept. 27 and Michigan State Sept. 30 at Lakeside Field.
