EVANSTON, Ill. -
The Northwestern men's and women's tennis programs are teaming up to host the first annual "Cat Am" event September 14 and 15.
For a cost of $25 per person, tennis enthusiasts can enjoy an evening of fun, food, cocktails and door prizes on the evening of September 14. The activities will begin at 7 p.m. at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center on the corner of Sheridan Road and Colfax Avenue in Evanston.
A tennis auction will put Northwestern tennis players on the block so fans may bid for a partner in the next morning's competitive pro-am.
Both the men's and women's tennis programs at Northwestern have been successful in recent years. The women's team is coming off its third consecutive Big Ten conference title and second straight appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. The men's team finished third in the Big Ten in 2000.
