EVANSTON, Ill. - Changes are again afoot at Ryan Field for the 2001 season, and Northwestern football fans are going to be plenty happy about them.
This summer's major project is the scoreboards. At the north end, the old scoreboard is being taken down to make way for a new, state-of-the-art scoreboard with a high-definition video screen in the middle. This will allow for replays to be seen and enhance the overall experience of the fan.
At the south end, the scoreboard is being replaced by a smaller version that will sit in a centralized position above the end-zone seats. On each side will be several LED scoreboards, which will allow for rotating sponsorship and signage opportunities as well as such information as out-of-town scores. This scoreboard will extend from approximately Sections 116 to 121.
