EVANSTON, Ill. - With a decisive win over Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, the seventh-seeded Northwestern women's tennis team will face No. 12 USC in the opening round at this week's NCAA Championships at the Lincoln Tennis Center in Stone Mountain, Ga. The Wildcats and Ladies of Troy will be one of two matches to start the event on Thursday, at 8 a.m. The winner of that match will play either Baylor or defending national champions Georgia on Friday, May 18, 11 a.m. for a berth into the semifinals.
The Big Ten champion Wildcats enter the NCAA Championships with a 24-4 overall record and winners of their last 11 dual matches.

Thursday, May 17
8 a.m. - Northwestern vs. USC, Baylor vs. Georgia
11 a.m. - Texas vs. Duke, UCLA vs. Vanderbilt
2 p.m. - Tennessee vs. Washington, Florida vs. Notre Dame
5 p.m. - Stanford vs. Wake Forest, Arizona State vs. California
Friday, May 18
8 a.m. - Texas/Duke winner vs. UCLA/Vanderbilt winner
11 a.m. - Northwestern/USC winner vs. Baylor/Georgia winner
2 p.m. - Stanford/Wake Forest winner vs. Arizona State/California winner
5 p.m. - Florida/Notre Dame winner vs. Tennessee/Washington winner
Saturday, May 19
Semifinal matches will be played at 1 p.m. (8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday winners) and at 4 p.m. (2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday winners)
Sunday, May 20
1 p.m. - Team Championship Match
