The Northwestern women's golf squad shot rounds of 308-307-297=912 to take third place at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. The Wildcats were 13 shots shy of tournament champion Ohio State.
Freshman Hana Kim highlighted the weekend by recording a hole-in-one on a 146-yard, par-3 hole during first round action. Kim finished the weekend in seventh place individually, carding rounds of 83-73-71=227. Her final round 1-under-par 71 was also a collegiate best.
Emily Gilley and Elizabeth Burden tied for eighth with a three-day total of 228. Christie Hermes came in 27th, with teammate Lauren Grzebien right behind at 28th. Kristen Beystehner shot a final round 78 to finish in a tie for 43rd.
