EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's lacrosse club team improved to 12-1 on the season with an 18-0 win over Lake Forest College Wednesday afternoon at Lakeside Field. Lillian Lardy and Erin Celentano each had three goals and an assist, while Kelly Cook had two goals and two assists to lead the way.
Patty West and Julie Lazarus added two goals apiece for the Wildcats, who are ranked second in the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League's latest poll.
Defensively, Alexis Cohen had a big game in the midfield with three ground balls and four draw controls. Priya Alexander and Ritu Singh were also cited for strong defensive performances, and Kelly Matheson had one save.
The Wildcats are back in action Friday night, hosting Taylor College at 6 p.m. at Lakeside Field.
