Evanston, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team moved up to 10th after two rounds of the Ford U.S. Collegiate Championships in Los Cabos, Mexico, Saturday. NU shot a second round 287 and trails tournament leader Georgia by 33 shots.
Individually, Luke Donald shot a second-round, 5-under-par 67 to move into second place, two shots behind Nick Cassini of Georgia. Freshman Tom Johnson shot 73 and is tied for 30th. Sophomore Scott Harrington also shot 73 in Round 2, and junior Chris Thayer carded a 74.
The final round will be played tomorrow.
