EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's lacrosse club team defeated Wheaton, 14-3, Wednesday afternoon at Lakeside Field. The Wildcats -- ranked second in the latest Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League -- improved to 8-0.
Lillian Lardy once again led the way for the 'Cats, scoring four goals and dishing out two assists for six points. Julie Lazarus had a four-point game (2 goals, 2 assists), while Patt West had three goals. At the other end, Kelly Matheson had a pair of saves to gain the victory.
Northwestern is back in action this weekend, taking part in the Purdue Playday in West Lafayette, Ind. During that event, the Wildcats will match up with the only team ranked ahead of them in the WCLL poll, Miami (Ohio).
