Evanston, Ill. - The 15th-ranked Northwestern women's golf squad had to battle more than the course on Sunday, as a wind advisory blew through Athens, Ga., on the last day of the Liz Murphey Classic. As a result, the `Cats shot a weekend worse 35-over-par 323 but moved up a spot to finish tied for 10th. Top-ranked Duke won the team title with a three day total of 902.
For the third tournament this season, Elizabeth Burden was the top finisher for NU. Burden carded rounds of 77-75-79=231 (+15) to finish tied for 17th. Emily Gilley placed 26th with rounds of 81-76-77=234 (+18).
