Women's Golf 11th After Two Rounds of the Liz Murphey Classic

Evanston, Ill. - The 15th-ranked Northwestern women's golf squad shaved 12 strokes off their opening round score, but still remain in 11th place at the Liz Murphey Classic in Athens, Ga. Five NU golfers combined for a second-round 20-over-par 308. After 36 holes they are 34 strokes off the pace set by tournament leader Duke.

Individually, Elizabeth Burden leads the `Cats with a two-day total 8-over-par. She shot rounds of 77-75=152 to head into tomorrow's final tied for 17th. Emily Gilley is tied for 35th with rounds of 81-76=157.
