Evanston, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf squad shot a 22-over-par 310 in the final round of the eighth annual "Mo" Morial in Houston, Texas, to finish fifth out of 17 teams. For the tournament, NU shot rounds of 310-304-310=924, 13 strokes behind tournament champion Indiana.
For the second tournament in a row, sophomore Elizabeth Burden (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) was the `Cats top finisher with rounds of 76-75-75=226 to finish the tournament 10-over-par and eight strokes off the lead. Junior Emily Gilley (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) and freshman Hana Kim (Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood) tied for 13th place with a three-day total 230. Gilley shot a school-record 69 the second round.
