EVANSTON, Ill. - The following are results of Northwestern's wrestlers from the second session of this weekend's Big Ten Wrestling Championships, taking place at Welsh-Ryan Arena. As a team, the Wildcats are in 11th place with six points. The championships conclude Sunday, with third, fifth, and seventh-place matches in all weight classes taking place at noon. Championship matches in all weight classes will begin at 3 p.m.
125 -- Unseeded Rob Potashnick was defeated by Ohio State's Kore Sharpley in the first round of wrestlebacks (8-3 decision) and is done for the weekend.
133 -- Northwestern does not have a wrestler competing in this weight class.
141 -- Unseeded Josh Ballard fell to seventh-seeded Coyte Cooper of Indiana in the first round of wrestlebacks (14-4 decision) and is done for the weekend.
149 -- Unseeded Ryan Cumbee fell to seventh-seeded Gabe Cook of Indiana in the first round of wrestlebacks (11-4 decision) and is done for the weekend.
157 -- Fourth-seeded Jason Erwinski defeated Wisconsin's P.J. Dowling in the first round of wrestlebacks (18-3 technical fall), then lost to eighth-seeded Clovis Crane of Purdue in the second round (12-4). He will wrestle Sunday afternoon in the seventh-place match against seventh-seeded Pat Owen of Michigan.
165 -- Unseeded Ryan Kane was pinned by sixth-seeded Ben Shirk of Iowa at 4:21 in the first round of wrestlebacks and is done for the weekend.
174 -- Unseeded Andrew Curran was defeated by fifth-seeded Ben King of Illinois in the first round of wrestlebacks (13-2 major decision) and is done for the weekend.
184 -- Unseeded Brendan Curran was pinned by sixth-seeded Jessman Smith of Iowa at 5:59 in the first round of wrestlebacks and is done for the weekend.
197 -- Unseeded Will Marcantel was defeated by fourth-seeded Joe DeGain of Michigan in the first round of wrestlebacks (10-2 major decision) and is done for the weekend.
285 -- In a match that was tight to the very end, sixth-seeded Josh Saul was pinned by Wisconsin's Justin Staebler at 6:34 in the first round of wrestlebacks and is done for the weekend.
