EVANSTON, Ill. -
The Northwestern softball team fell to Central Michigan, 2-0, at the Seminole Tournament in Tallahassee, Fla., on Saturday. The Wildcats fall to 6-6 overall while the Chippewas improve to 2-5.
Chippewa pitcher Amber Puchalski was the story, as she no-hit the Wildcats. Central Michigan scored two runs in the sixth inning to win the game.
NU's only positive offensive stat came from Brett Nakabayashi (Irvine, Calif./Irvine) in the first inning when she was walked and stole second. Pitcher Brie Brown (Nashville, Tenn./Harputh Hall) pitched her third complete game of the tournament, striking out two and allowing four hits.
With their three tournament losses, the Wildcats go into tomorrow's action as the No. 4 seed and face No. 1 seed Florida State at 8 a.m. NU fell to the No. 19 Seminoles, 2-1, earlier today.
