EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team dropped into a tie for ninth place 3after shooting a second round 301 at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico, Monday. NU trails co-leaders Georgia and Georgia Tech by 21 shots heading into the final round tomorrow. The River Course at the Westin Rio Mar Country Club is a par-72, 6,945-yard course.
Individually, Luke Donald shot a two-under-par 70 to move up 26 spots into a tie for 12th place. One of the players he's tied with is teammate Scott Harrington, who followed up a first-round 71 with a 75 on Monday. Freshman Tom Johnson stands in 34th place after a second-round 77.
