EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf team battled the elements again Saturday in second round action of the Midwest Classic in Dallas, Texas. After a rained-delayed morning, action finally got going at noon in a shotgun start on the par-72 Bear Creek golf course. Northwestern shaved three strokes off their score from yesterday up two spots to No. 6. The Wildcats are 24 strokes off the pace set by tournament leader Oklahoma State.
Elizabeth Burden (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) continues to lead the Wildcats after shooting a four-over-par, second-round 76. She is currently tied for 14th place, nine strokes off the lead. Emily Gilley (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) shot a team low round with a three-over-par 75, which put her in a tie for 22nd.
Action wraps up tomorrow with the third and final round set to tee off at 8 a.m.
