MADISON, Wis. - Nina Smith scored 14 points as No. 25 Wisconsin beat Northwestern 70-35 Thursday night in Big Ten action.
Wisconsin (13-7, 7-3) shot 46 percent from the floor, compared with just 26 percent for Northwestern.
The Badgers scored 29 points off turnovers. LaTonya Sims had 13 points and Emily Ashbaugh added eight.
Tami Sears had 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Leslie Dolland added 10 points for Northwestern.
Northwestern will be back in action Sunday, facing another ranked team when No. 19 Penn State comes to town. Tip time is 2 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
