On the game:
"This is a real tough loss. I thought that we played well enough to win."
On Michigan:
"The zone slowed us down a little bit, there are some big players in there. Michigan came out in the second half and got right back in the game."
On Winston Blake:
"Winston got into some foul trouble, but he certainly got us off to a good start in the first half."
On Tavaras Hardy:
"I thought he did a nice job as a passer, I thought he played well."
MICHIGAN HEAD COACH BRIAN ELLERBE:
"Bill's team obviously came out and executed exactly what they wanted. I think his kids did a very, very good job of executing. We knew we would have a tough match up with two post guys and one having to play defense against a guard. It was probably a mistake on our part, maybe should have changed the lineup, but you don't expect guys to shoot that well, that quickly"
"I'm proud of the guys and how they adjusted at the half. We played defense a little bit more like we played Thursday night against Illinois"
"We have to get post touches on our basketball team. We've been able to win some games with making only one or two threes, but that's not us, we are not a three point shooting team"
"It may have suprised them that we did play a zone because they are such a good shooting team"
"Right now I think our team is playing a little better. We're doing a lot more things that I like to see. We didn't turn the ball over much in the second half, which I thought was key, and we were able to get the ball into the post."
